Most Coveted: Burberry, Bottega Veneta, Fendi and More

When it comes to luxury, you can rest assured that Prestige has it covered. But with the sheer multitude, let alone variety, released regularly on the landscape, it can become rather difficult to figure out the best from the rest or to even pick up the newest and most exciting. As luck would have it, our editors are forever on the look out: discovering on-the-rise labels, picking up new products from cult brands and the finding the most desirable items there are. So for those that are curious what that might be, keep scrolling to discover what made the cut in our weekly Most Coveted list.

The fashion world’s bag du jour, otherwise known as The Pouch by Bottega Veneta’s Creative Director Daniel Lee, has been reinterpreted in intricately crocheted leather and is looking so good, it leaves me undecided about which colourway to preorder. Between the elegant bianco or a cooler ice blue, I am absolutely loving how this handwoven bag, crafted in tubular Nappa, adds a modern, but soft and unique finish to any look. —

Inspired by the cinematic style of Casablanca and the legacy of Americana, Ralph Lauren spring summer 2020 stays true to its design heritage. Within the collection is the canteen bag, an easy breezy mini in smooth calfskin leather and gold tone hardware with chain detailing that goes with just about anything — whether dressed up or pared down. The adjustable strap allows for it to be worn as a crossbody, swung over the shoulder and hand held, allowing three-way use for maximum versatility. – Dara Chau (DC), Digital Editor

London-based Ukrainian fashion and jewellery designer Natasha Zinko is known for repurposing materials to create whimsical, stylish and casual-yet-luxe clothing. These light blue cotton ruffled-hem denim shorts get me in the mood for a fun summer. Featuring multiple ruffled appliqués, a flattering high rise cut and micro short length, this pair of denim shorts is functional and funky. The label itself has won multiple awards, such as the Swarovski Trend Forecast Award in 2007/8, and participated in the British Art Medal Society touring exhibition. So I am sure we can expect a lot more from this up and coming designer — Florence Tsai (FT), Senior Digital Editor

In case you missed it, the haircare line with a cult-like following isn’t just about hair. Ouai’s Chill Pills, which are in fact bath bombs, are part of their bodycare line and is the perfect addition to a steamy and relaxing bath. The effervescent bath “pills” are fragranced with garden fresh scents of jasmine and rose, and infused with moisturising jojoba oil, safflower oil and stress-relieving hemp seed oil. I think that means bath o’clock, don’t you? — FC

Fashion jewellery has been cast in the shadow of accessories behind our prized handbags and shoes for long enough. Making some real noise now are statement pieces that have made regular appearances on both catwalks and on the streets. Logos have come back in style and instead of gracing leather goods in monogram print, it has come to life in fun ornamental styles. The Fendi FF earrings are realised in brown tortoiseshell plexi with gold-finish detailing in a contemporary style that will add fashion flair to your look. The way that the “F” attaches to each ear at different angles, creates a playful portrayal of the brand’s symbol. — DC

An item that has caught my eye is this men’s pink and grey long sleeve polo shirt. This spring, the British fashion label’s codes evolve through animal motifs, reconstructed rugby stripes and graphic logo patches, giving the line a fun, sporty and laid-back chicness. Made with striped cotton piqué, it adds a fun twist to the conventional style we’re used to with elevated zipped puff sleeves, appliqué and a swan motif taken straight from the runway. Most notably, the polo comes with a cheeky message “I am unicorn” over the breast pocket. — FT

As a big fan of Takashi Murakami’s art, I am always keeping a watchful eye on his new work and enjoy seeing his collaborations that span across fashion, music and sometimes even food. One such collaboration brings Murakami’s superflat smiley-faced sunflowers into the world of music and style, and sees the Japanese contemporary artist teaming up with Grammy-winning Colombian reggaeton singer J Balvin. The Murakami x J Balvin capsule collection features a range of T-shirts and hoodies which are available now at Joyce stores in Central, Admiralty and Tsim Sha Tsui. — FC
