Most Coveted: Cartier, Chloé, Nanushka and More

When it comes to luxury, you can rest assured that Prestige has it covered. But with the sheer multitude, let alone variety, released regularly on the landscape, it can become rather difficult to figure out the best from the rest or to even pick up the newest and most exciting. As luck would have it, our editors are forever on the look out: discovering on-the-rise labels, picking up new products from cult brands and the finding the most desirable items there are. So for those that are curious what that might be, keep scrolling to discover what made the cut in our weekly Most Coveted list.

It’s not everyday that a new jewellery collection drops. So you can imagine my excitement to hear Cartier is releasing new pieces to its Clash de Cartier collection. In a balancing act to combine tradition and innovation, the collection successfully harmonises bead and stud elements using meticulous craftsmanship to interconnect each component; resulting in beautifully wearable pieces that are both fluid yet geometric. It’s the perfect display of subtle elegance in modern jewellery design. Haven broken conventional jewellery in its debut in 2019, the new line takes on the same design codes while introducing new materials. On the top of my wish list is the limited edition Clash de Cartier Bracelet in 18k pink gold and amazonite  — it’s just the right amount of punk and colour.  — Dara Chau (DC), Digital Editor

As the spring breeze blows through my hair — when I open the window, that is — I’m once again enamoured by the change of seasons and it instills in me a need for newness. A need for a new dress. Having seen this look on the runway from Chloé’s spring 2020 collection, I have adored this sweet peach maxi dress since. It’s cut from silk-georgette and delicately pleated to reveal volume, especially in the skirt. And who can say no to more volume in the form of blouson sleeves. With this dress, I am ready to waltz outside and into spring. — Fontaine Cheng (FC), Digital Writer

If you know me, you’ll know that I find it somewhat difficult to incorporate colour in my wardrobe. My go-to outfit is a basic white T-shirt, black jeans and a pair of sneakers, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t want to wear more colour. Thankfully, Louis Vuitton has just released a multicolour windbreaker, perfect for those breezy summer nights. The design sees the brand’s iconic monogram print landing in large pastel colours. The fabric is water-repellent with the print applied through an Ikat dyeing technique. — Austin Miao (AM), Social Media Manager

The open square-toed mule by Staud is one of very few things that tell me that summer is still coming. It fills me with hope and joy just to look at these brilliantly bright blue silk-blend shoes. It’s also incredibly comfortable to wear with a single strap and short asymmetrical block heel. This will come in handy when I slip into them and step outside, having not worn heels for quite some time now. — FC

Borrowing from the boys this week, my eye is set on watch manufacturer, Roger Dubuis’ latest innovation: The Excalibur Twofold. The newest RB addition features the brand’s signature double flying tourbillon, bezel and case in an ultra-white composite made of 99.5% silica (AKA Mineral Composite Fibre) and utilises a Sheet Molding Compound process that allows for extreme luminescence in the dark. The strap is made of a specific KFM rubber material that takes on a similar glow in the dark effect, too. In broad daylight, the Excalibur is white as bone, while in the night, skeletal parts of the watch illuminate. — DC

For those who don’t know, Nanushka is the Budapest-based fashion brand with designs arriving in super clean and minimal silhouettes. I recently discovered the brand and I have quickly became obsessed with their pieces. Whether it be for a cocktail party or a dinner gathering, the Malvin blazer and Tuan suit pants are the ideal pieces that I would wear to an event. — AM
