When it comes to luxury, you can rest assured that Prestige has it covered. But with the sheer multitude, let alone variety, released regularly on the landscape, it can become rather difficult to figure out the best from the rest or to even pick up the newest and most exciting. As luck would have it, our editors are forever on the look out: discovering on-the-rise labels, picking up new products from cult brands and the finding the most desirable items there are. So for those that are curious what that might be, keep scrolling to discover what made the cut in our weekly Most Coveted list.
There was a moment in time (2013 to be exact) when the most talked about piece that I was dying to get my hands on were the Dior Tribales earrings. Such a simple design, yet so iconic to the brand, the double bead studs were the most coveted. For Spring 2020, Dior does it again by pulling at my heartstrings with an updated rendition of the emblematic earring: using a single radiant freshwater pearl behind the lobe, and a gold-finished natural wildflower motif before it, the sculptural shape reflects the season’s gardener theme as interpreted by Maria Grazia Chiuri. To be worn as a single or as a pair, the earring is sold individually and also comes in white pearl, grey Bardiglio bead, beige jasper bead and more. — Dara Chau (DC), Digital Editor

In a time when kicking back seems to prevail, I say: do it in style. I’ve been looking for something to update the home for some time now and British Designer Tom Dixon delivers just that with his Wingback Chair. Inspired by the classic 17th century wingback and balloon-back style, this chair offers expressive form in sculptural curves and a sweeping silhouette that my creative side just adores. Over and above that, it is also an excellent piece of furniture. The grey and copper leg version is ideal for a brighter interior and the wings themselves, well they provide acoustic protection and that much needed headrest for the best of snoozes. — Fontaine Cheng (FC), Digital Writer

The search for the perfect bag is a lifelong quest. I’m one to admit I have too many – every mission requires its own bespoke bag for the occasion. But when it comes to the ultimate everyday carry-it-all for my essentials, I have begun to believe it is a mythical accessory that only belongs in fashion dreams. The possessions I take around with me are limited – keys, phone, charger, lip balm, camera, sunglasses, gum, random change… you get it. So when I came across Bottega Veneta’s Padded Cassette, I was mesmerised. The design was what first caught my eye, but it wasn’t until I peeked inside that I realised its functionality. Since Daniel Lee took up the role as creative director of BV, I have found myself engaged in many of his designs, and most recently, this crossbody. The double-face maxi weave, interior zipped pocket and magnetic closure plus removable strap to transform into a clutch checked off all the boxes for my needs. — Austin Miao (AM), Social Media Manager

I know (and I’m sorry that) I’ve probably told every living soul that I’m going snowboarding later this month, but what I really need to tell you is about these compressive leggings from Girlfriend Collective. The Seattle-based startup is an eco-friendly, body positive and sustainable activewear brand that makes the most out of recycled plastic. Yes, that’s right. Not only are these high-rise leggings going to help me with my muscle recovery, thanks to its four-way stretch and compressive fabric, but they’re also made from 25 recycled water bottles. Need I say more? — FC

As you get to know me, you’ll know that I rarely wear colour. My ensembles usually consist of a basic white T-shirt, black jeans, anything minimal and monochromatic. With the warmer months quickly approaching in Hong Kong, I’m beginning to look for summer-ready footwear as winter shoes fade into the back of the closet. Maison Margiela has unveiled two worthy options. The tonal black and white slides are made with a synthetic upper and rubber sole. Elevating the open toe footwear is the fashion house’s camouflaged yet embossed numeric detailing located across the strap, encircling the number 22 just above the Maison Margiela logo. Perfect for running errands around town or chilling by the pool, these will be a solid addition to my spring/summer rotation. — AM

Silk scarves take centre stage this season at Louis Vuitton. To showcase the new collection, an accessories campaign featuring fashion influences Aimee Song, Aleali May and Devon Lee Carlson was launched to remind us of the many fun, creative and versatile ways the scarf can be approached. There’s the classic drape over the neck, tie around the waist, hair and wrist, or even a top handle wrap for a bag. The ABC square called to me with its more pop and arty inspirations that spell out the name “Louis Vuitton” using a totem, matching an animal or character to each of the letters (i.e. L is for leopard, O is for ostrich) in fluorescents. — DC
