Most Expensive Baseball Card

Historically, sporting cards such as baseball cards have been the most common, but in the last few decades Gaming cards such as Pokemon and ‘Magic the Gathering” have become more prominent.

On August 23rd 2020, Goldin Auctions from New Jersey, USA sold the most expensive Trading card ever for $3.93 million, and it’s a Baseball Rookie Card.

The signed card features Mike Trout, the eight-time MLB All-Star, three-time American League (AL) Most Valuable Player (MVP). According to Goldin Auctions, the 2009 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Superfactor card has a serial number stating that the card is 1/1.

The card’s previous owner was renowned collector and sports gambler ‘Vegas Dave’, who bought it for only $400k USD on eBay in 2018.
