Charles Jeffrey Loverboy is one of the more exciting aspects of British fashion right now, and that’s saying something. With names like Ahluwahlia, Bianca Saunders, Steven Daley, and more, British fashion design has rarely looked stronger. Graduating Central Saint Martins in 2015, he’s made a sizeable impact on the scene in a very short time, but there’s no questioning why.
Combining aspects of disparate subcultures gives Charles Jeffrey Loverboy’s work a unique, bold finish which is unmistakably British at times. And, while the latest season does feature signature punk tartans, there’s a range of new patterns and prints which define the collection and have caught our eyes.
From Mother Teresa to hypnotic fractals, classic pieces like MA-1 bomber jackets, peacoats, and track jackets are given punchy character with colorful patterns. To celebrate one of the liveliest collections of the season, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite pieces below.
The bomber jacket is a certified British subcultural icon, so of course it features in the FW21 collection.
Luxe track jackets are a fall essential in our books and this Hex design is top of our shopping list.
Cargos exploded in popularity last year and the hype’s still there. With pairs like this gradient design around, we can see why.
Knitwear is one of Charles Jeffrey Loverboy’s forté’s. The Homefront Cardigan is relatively pared-back, just take a look at the rest of the collection for proof.
One of the standout pieces from the FW21 offering is this super-long overcoat cut from mid-weight printed felt.
Wearability isn’t a prime focus of Loverboy collections, but the Lost Boys Sweatshirt is a surprisingly versatile everyday piece from the designer.
Well, we bet you never thought you’d be walking around with a picture of Mother Teresa on your coat. It looks damn good, though.
Aptly named the Martini Trousers, we can’t think of a better way to break these striking pants in than a high-end cocktail outing.
