ART OF NAIL CROWNS
As a designer, when it comes to designing jewelry, I’m always trying to discover new products that can be refreshing to the typical segments of jewelry. To say the least, I gave into the nail trend. Nails this year are decadent to the point where a function is forgettable.  To be frank, it wasn’t very hard to imagine Pearls and Kundan jewelling up nails – that’s when the idea of nail caps started shaping up. I always imagined a lady in high heels pleasured by the idea of caressing a tiger as the ideal adorned of nail crowns.
INSPIRATION AND CREATIVE PROCESS
Surprisingly, nails have come a long way from being an ancient extravagance to modern glamour. Nail guards in ancient China were a sign of power and beauty which represented noble ranking. Studded with pearls, shells, and glided metal these unique guards were my source of inspiration. However, I looked at embellishing nails in 2 ways. First, embellishing the lining of the nail and giving the nail a spotlight. And second, embellishing the nail itself. I let all the shapes and forms that I come across in my day-to-day life take space in my head and I play with them. Interactions between me and my environment are what I usually express on paper.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
started the label with an intention to create pieces that not only help people embrace their bold selves but also let them experience design by interacting with them. The label is always committed to encouraging self-expression by upholding the power of human touch by supporting local artisans practicing traditional art forms. Silver is a lustrous, soft, very ductile, and malleable metal. This property of the metal makes it more accommodative of intricate designs, unlike other metals.

JEWELLERY AS AN ART
Exposure to social media and other platforms has really changed the way people buy, sell and perceive jewellery in India. India being a culturally rich country with a deep-rooted history, jewellery has always been a way to accommodate wealth. However, it’s nice to see that people have progressed from that thought to this day where it’s recognized for its design and as a form of self-expression. Glad to be a part of this generation, to say the least, and most of all contribute to designing during these times.
 PANDEMIC & FUTURE
PANDEMIC & FUTURE
The pandemic has been nothing but an awful time for the growth of the brand. Our artisans in Jaipur have been terribly affected by the pandemic and we are doing everything to keep them safe. However, these times have shown the importance of a digital presence more than ever. Content is everything in today’s world. Since the brand has been fiercely feminine all the way, we are now also working on an entire collection that is specially designed for men. Can’t wait to show the world what we have in store.
QUICK TIPS
When it comes to caring for your silverware at home, toothpaste is one of the easiest DIY silver cleaning methods. Just take a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on a dish and rub it onto the jewellery. Leave it for 5 minutes and then rinse off the toothpaste with water.
