For seekers of romantic beaches and sheltered coves, the Balearic islands of Spain are a popular destination, of which Mallorca is a long-favored fling. Amidst the world-class galleries, museums and sun-drenched streets, meet the newly opened Nakar Hotel. In a harmonious marriage of Mediterranean chic and modernity, the 57-room hotel (which is absolutely tiny when compared with the Parisian in Macau) is the brainchild of acclaimed architect Magi Margues and designer Marga Rotger.
Conceived by Toni Ramis, the hotel seeks to deliver. A rooftop sundeck, infinity pool, sauna and massage rooms are all available, while in-room jacuzzis and private terraces lend the Deluxe Rooms a touch of romance. Of special note is the restaurant and bar CUIT – located on the eighth floor and overlooking Palma’s sweeping bay, the eatery spins an ode to “Urban Majorquine” cuisine. Expect locally sourced and organic ingredients, where traditional recipes are updated with a contemporary touch at the hands of head chef Miquel Calent.
Nakar Hotel is located in the shopping precinct of Jaime III Avenue.
