March 20 – April 14
The National Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual springtime event in Washington, DC that honors Japan’s gift of the cherry blossom tree to the United States in 1912 and celebrates the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The 2012 festival was the centenary celebration and included five spectacular weeks of diverse and creative events promoting traditional and contemporary arts and culture, natural beauty, and community spirit. We thank all those lovely folks who joined us in America’s greatest springtime celebration.
