NBA Michael Jordan’s trainers sell for $560,000
NBA Basketball legend Michael Jordan’s autographed trainers (sneakers) last worn in 1985 sold for $560,000 in an online auction.
Jordan wore the The Nike Air Jordan 1’s during his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls.
Sold by Sotheby’s, the previous record was $437,500 for a pair of Nike’s 1972 Moon Shoes.
Jordan famously had unmatched shoes, with the left a size 13 and the right a size 13.5.
The Air Jordan 1s shoes were put up for sale by Jordan Geller, who is the founder of the Las Vegas based trainer museum Shoezeum.
