Coffee shop style quality can be accessible at home with the Nepresso machines. Each aluminium capsule contains the top 20% high-quality coffee a choice of 22 grand cru coffee.
Currys PC world invited me along to their #coffeeforcurrys event to find out more about the brand, the machines and learn more about coffee.
Each cup of coffee has a positive effect with George Clooney as their brand ambassador; chosen by the club members, he often sits in the chair meetings giving his input. The aluminium capsules are fully recyclable and you can get Nespresso collects them for free. The machine uses high pressure to extract the coffee from the pods.
Reducing the carbon footprint of each cup of coffee, one capsule is from 29p cheaper then a coffee brought in the shops.
Nepresso coffee machines come in over a range of 39 stylish machines developed together with top super brands.
The event was held at The Fable in the city of London starting from noon I arrived waiting with the other bloggers for everyone to finish setting up the workstations.
Once we had some tasty moreish food by The Fable, the event kicked off. Starting at the coffee tasting table, we join the ranks of the Connoisseur club. The unique learning experience enabled us to learn and understand coffee. Opening our senses by cleansing the palate and awakening the different flavour zones in our tongues.
Next we learned the art of coffee making using a real machine to froth milk by hand than trying our luck with coffee latte art. It was tough trying to get the usual leaf, but we cheated and used stencils.
The brand station was my favourite, watching the videos and learning more about the fascinating history of Nespresso.
The last station we made two different coffee cocktails with the mixologists, using dharkan espresso pod and dulsao de Brazil espresso pod. Both were a big hit and I glad I went to this workstation last.
I thoroughly enjoyed the event with Currys PC world and learned even more about coffee.
