The 2015 Geneva Motor Show will see the world premiere of the new DS 5, the first to be sold under the DS name rather than as a Citroën.
The new DS flagship has taken on a new grille, along with new xenon/LED headlights. On the interior is a “cockpit roof” with three light wells that create a unique lighting ambiance. A color touch screen puts access to navigation services, music and other features at the driver’s fingertips.
Under the hood, the DS 5 will come with a range of the latest engines from the PSA group, including the 4×4 Hybrid diesel with average fuel consumption of 3.5l/100km and CO2 emissions of around 90g/km.
For Yves Bonnefont, general director at DS, “the DS 5 contains all the DNA of the DS brand, and above all else it allows us to clearly reaffirm our objective: a return to the French luxury car.”
“DS” was first the name of a luxury car, then of a high-end car range at Citroën, and finally a separate brand as of 2014.
