Better luck next time, hater! Nikita Dragun clapped back at a fan who questioned why the popular YouTuber, 23, attended the 2020 Grammy Awards. “She’s always killing it and serving looks, but we all know she doesn’t need to be there. She’s an influencer, not a musical artist,” the user commented on Sunday, January 26.
“They gave me a check to go, so honestly, I’m just doing my job,” Nikita replied. Bam! And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how it’s done. After all, everyone knows that money talks.
Plus, Nikita’s post was incredibly sweet — and certainly no place for backlash! “Hi, Grammys. I changed my profile name to Nikita Popster Dragun and a couple of days later, the literal Grammys sent me an invite,” she began.
“What is my life, honestly? I’m wondering just as much as anybody else. I will say, I’m glad to be repping us trans girls! The diversity and feminine power are at an all-time high this year and I am here for it,” Nikita continued. “Maybe one day, I’ll be nominated for a Grammy, too, I mean, no dream is too big. OK, let me stop my fantasy now before I get ahead of myself.”
Thankfully, Nikita’s other followers saw her post an opportunity to show the makeup mogul some well-deserved praise. “Stunning mermaid,” Paris Hilton gushed. “This brown hair is making me cry,” added model Justine Mae Biticon.
“WTF! You look better than the majority of *actual* pop stars,” one person chimed in, while another echoed, “You are there to simply serve looks.” Speaking of looks, Nikita also revealed that her dress was put together in a mere 72 hours: “Shout-out to the Haus of Dragun for literally putting this look together in three days … A DREAM COME TRUE.”
Needless to say, we look forward to seeing Nikita and her amazing style at more awards show in the future! Keep slaying, lady.
