It’s true – no KAWS holiday is quite complete without The North Face; at least, that’s what the duo’s upcoming collaboration would suggest.
At this point, I’d go as far as to suggest that we’re living in KAWS’ world. Seriously, the artist’s imprint is everywhere. If you really wanted to live a fully KAWS lifestyle, it wouldn’t be all that hard; thanks to collaborations with Reeses Puffs cereal, CDG on apparel and perfume, sacai, Supreme, and Nike.
As 2022 rolls into motion, slowly picking up steam, the frequent stream of collaborations refuses to falter with the tease of KAWS’ first-ever The North Face collection.

Getting a TNF team-up under your belt feels like an important check on the streetwear to-do list – Braindead has one, Supreme has what feels like hundreds, Extra Butter, Dover Street Market, even Gucci, so this collab feels like a long time coming.
Teased via KAWS’ Instagram, it looks like the project will frame the classic 1994 Mountain Light Jacket in at least three distinct colorways.
Each takes on an abstract camouflage with boldly contrasting shoulder panels, which display the artist’s instantly recognizable ‘XX’ motif parallel to the TNF logo.
Official release details surrounding the collection currently remain a mystery but expect further information to roll out soon.
