Not to sound like a real downer, but these past few days have been pretty damn shitty. At this rate, most of my friends have tested positive for COVID, cases in the UK are at the highest they’ve ever been, and it looks like all plays for Christmas and New Year’s are about to be flushed down the toilet.
It was all looking pretty bleak until I stumbled upon North West‘s TikTok that she’s made together with her mom, Kim Kardashian. All of a sudden, my lunch hour had been spent scrolling through the nine-year-old’s account, watching all of her videos, and even tapping into Penelope Disick’s account made with her mom, Kourtney Kardashian.
We’ve spent 20 seasons with Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and since 2007, the family has shared everything with us – divorces, pregnancies, family drama – you name it. But, one thing we’ve never been able to see is the kids, because they’ve always been too young.
Now, Kim’s oldest daughter North has been allowed to have her own social media. After all, it is impossible to avoid Instagram and TikTok when your mother spends a lot of time sharing her life online.

North’s TikTok is a combination of showing us around her house, giving us a glimpse of her insane closet, and sharing moments with the rest of the Kardashian Kousins™. So far, we’ve been introduced to her lizards, Cheese and Bean, who North tells us her mother hates. “My mom hates them because they have worms.”
We’ve also seen some of the other kids including Chicago, Penelope, and True riding a golf cart. It goes without saying that there’s plenty of personality in the content that’s been published thus far.

North has also been showing her fashion interest, putting together outfits and styling videos. She might only be nine, but she’s got a pair of Rick Owens Kiss Boots, plenty of designer bags, and a lifetime supply of Yeezy and Skims. Some of her videos even feature grails for Kanye West stans, such as a College Dropout tee and Yeezy 350s in “Pirate Black.”

Of course, it is not easy to be a kid online – North recently went live without permission, which resulted in her comments being turned off on the app. It was definitely the right decision, as the account has already amassed 3.1 million followers and plenty of negative comments had already started rolling in. Who the hell is being rude to a nine-year-old online?
Regardless, North’s TikTok presence has been a highlight for me this week. Alongside the rest of the Kardashian kids, she’s creating fun and creative video content that is fun to watch, and most importantly, it reminds us that despite being the child of two of the world’s biggest celebs, she’s just a kid that likes to have fun.

So, if you’re looking to clear your head of all the negative news and doomsday thinking, I recommend you take a deep dive into North’s TikTok. Who knows, the Kardashian Kids (I still think Kardashian Kousins is a winner) might even have their own reality show sponsored by the platform before we know it.
