Between the hustle and bustle of Novikov restaurant in the heart of Mayfair and Brent Eleigh Hall nestled in the tranquil Lavenham in Suffolk, a unique and miraculous collaboration is taking place.
Two acres of beautiful Victorian walled kitchen gardens are being brought back to life thanks to Merriel Gardiner, Novikov’s appointed green-fingered maestro who has previously worked on impressive surroundings at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. She, along with her team have worked at Brent Eleigh Hall’s grounds for nearly four decades and are currently overseeing the project which involves vegetables, fruit cages, fruit trees and three listed greenhouses restored to their former glory.
Be it fresh fruits and vegetables to micro herbs and edible flowers, Brent Eleigh has been providing Novikov with quality produce during all four seasons, as Head Gardener Merriel Gardiner explains.
