The Theatre at Arts Garage brings the provocative and clever Smoke to the stage March 30-April 17, giving the audience a thought-provoking look at how we perceive sex.
Revolving around two young New Yorkers—John, a 31-year-old art intern, and Julie, a soon-to-be college dropout—who have found a brief respite in the kitchen at a Harlem sex party, the play, while set against a rather risqué backdrop, is more about the verbal sparring of the two. As their stories unwind and intermingle, the witty dialogue and intriguing plotline make the case that sex might be one of the funniest of human interactions.
- Presented on the Black Box Theatre stage from March 30 through April 17. Tickets cost $30-$45. For more information, visit artsgarage.org.
