Easter, it’s that much-needed bank holiday after New Year’s and I like seeing the Easter Specials at restaurants. It was a friend’s birthday in late April and she chooses Opso for a morning brunch date. Opso is located in Marylebone in between Baker’s Street and Regent’s Park. Opso ΟΨΟ is an actual Greek word meaning morsels of food, delicacy. Two Michelin star chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos helped developed the menu for Opso.

As you walk in you see the coffee bar and a few seats, the dining area is on the lower ground floor. We were given one of the two booths. A long row of leather seats joined together and a large wooden table. It’s a modern Greek restaurant with sharing plates.
Staff members were very attentive, instantly coming to you in moments. The dining area is filled with people chatting on a Sunday morning. We were given the Easter special menu that sounded delicious but we were after the brunch menu.
I already had a sneak peek at the food on Instagram and knew which dish to order. I’m usually a savoury person for breakfast/brunch but on some occasions, I will pick a sweet dish.
The very berry pancake £13 was right up my street. One thick pancake, with Mascarpone cream thickly covered topped with chilled berries and a dusting of powdered sugar. It reminded me of the one I had in Josie’s.
For drinks I ordered a pink smoothie £5, a blend of strawberries, Greek yoghurt, thyme and honey served in a glass milk bottle.
Other dishes ordered.
Opso Granola £12
A bowl covered with oat & hazelnut crumble, cocoa & chocolate nibs, thyme honey, chilled blueberries, pomegranates.
Apple crumble French toast £13
served with cinnamon ice cream.
