It won’t come as too much of a surprise that at Prestige towers – we love to wine and dine. We’re ending the month with some spicy Sichuan and a few sweet treats.
Find out where to eat, what to try next, and what’s got us going back for more.
Double-Boiled Winter Melon from Dragon Noodles Academy
We get it, Hong Kong heat is not one to joke about, but we’re loving this warm double-boiled winter melon soup from Dragon Noodles Academy. The dish was nothing short of amazing, and served as a mouth-watering start to our hearty feast of Chinese fare – we’re talking dim sum, peking duck and pastries stuffed with pork, crab meat and more. These folks have created refuge for those who are looking for a great time and a funky ambiance.
Komune’s Kale, Brussel Sprouts, Almond praline and Crispy Quinoa
Chef Alvaro knows good food, and that may even be an understatement. Why? Because we’ve tasted his menu at Komune – along with a few special dishes – and found that this is a place to go for generous portions and great flavour combinations. Our tip: Order the Kale salad, it’s a crowd pleaser. You can thank us later.
San Xi Lou’s Spicy Chicken Stew with Preserved Chilli, Ginger & Garlic
Amidst the myriad of eateries in Times Square sits an all-time Hong Kong favourite – San Xi Lou, a staple for those who are followers and devotees of the spicy Sichuan cuisine. We didn’t go for hot pot and instead opted for a pot filled with chicken, chilli and everything spice! It was delicious. Are we coming back for seconds? Of course.
Posto Pubblico’s Chicken Liver Paté on Crostinis
At this New York style restaurant and bar, where all come to drink, dine and just have a good time, awaits a delicious new option. Only available to order from their blackboard, the Chicken liver paté Crostini – complemented by marsala, cognac and rosemary – and finished with caramelised onions, serves as a dreamy option for those looking to have a taste of something both sweet and savoury. Trust us on this one, you’ll want more than one order.
La Vache’s Lemon Meringue Tart
The perfect afternoon delight was delivered to us at the Prestige office today and let us tell you this – you must always order the lemon meringue tart. The perfectly whipped crown kept us piercing through the rich and creamy overlay of meringue, before we finally arrive to the centre – where the fresh lemon flavour becomes the star of the show – surrounded in a beautifully buttery crust, that keeps it all together. We suggest you pair it with a good cup of coffee or tea, if you’re feeling less virtuous.
