Many of my friends talk about this place and the cakes. I think I ordered a birthday cake for someone many years ago but it had too much alcohol in it.
I wanted to try out the small cakes, I arrived at the carnby street cafe. The cake prices are not shown on the menu out of all the cakes on offer the berry mousse was the most appealing. I also ordered a hot chocolate this was slightly on the bitter side and had too much chocolate. The cake itself was stiff and the mousse taste like rubber, I guess the piece I’ve chosen was left out for a while. I have to agree with other food bloggers that the cake lack flavour and I was truly disappointed. I will go back and try the cheesecakes but the berry mousse is a miss for me. A cake and hit chocolate cost me £6.75 which is quite pricey in my opinion.
