The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park, is an AAA Five- Diamond waterfront hotel. I had the pleasure of finding out why this hotel is consistently considered one of the top hotels in America. Its accommodations, guest services, restaurants and bars, property features, and staff all scream “luxury, luxury and more luxury,” but the service that puts the “L” in luxury is the Bath Butler service.
As a guest, you can choose from a variety of serviceslisted on the Bath Butler menu. Children can play in the Rub-A-Dub-Dub Bath, while men indulge in the Wall Street Bath which comes complete with a tall frothy mug of beer. I, like many couples, chose the Romantic Bath. With this selection, the bath butler runs a bath, to your temperature preference, with Ylan-Ylang, citrus bath caviar beads, and tangerine, grapefruit and mandarin-orange body oil. Then, the bath is topped off with beautiful rose petals. As you relax in your bath, you will take in the candles’ fresh citrus scent which inspires and uplifts the soul. No pampering is complete without food of the gods. The butler’s assistant will bring you two glasses of champagne and a selection of fine Belgian chocolates or a fresh fruit platter. Staying true to the upscale nature of the hotel, the Bath Butler services range from $30 to $140. Trust me…you won’t be throwing your money down the drain.
