Renowned for its high quality skin care and cosmetics – it launched Japan’s first skin brightening product in 1951 – Pola has won over legions of fans in Japan and overseas thanks to its never-ending quest for brighter skin.
Launched in 1998, its revolutionary White Shot line was the first to introduce the active brightening ingredient Rucinol, which features a melanin lock mechanism for a blemish-free complexion. Since then, the line has continued to make industry-leading discoveries in the field of skin brightening theory, giving rise to products incorporating Pola’s latest skin brightening research and formulation techniques.
As the the line celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2018, Pola recently launched White Shot Inner Lock Liquid IX, a beauty health drink that supports translucency from within the body. After selling out across many beauty counters in its home country, the clear citrus-flavoured beverage is now set to take Hong Kong officially by storm.
The drink contains Pola’s original Safflower Q and Blannol compounds and Amla extract ingredient. Safflower Q contains a mix of safflower blossoms and extract of Engelhardia Roxburghiana leaves to aid a clear complexion while Blannol compound is a health drink ingredient developed from Pterocarpus Marasupium tree in India and has been used since ancient times to symbolise the vitality of life. Amla extract, meanwhile, is an original Pola ingredient produced with the use of a special technique that extracts high concentrations from the amla, a fruit high in nutritious value thanks to the amla extract, a drinkable sunscreen that fights against skin damage, such as sun burn caused by UV rays and other oxidative activities.
The White Shot range has additionally added the White Shot CXS and White Shot SXS Skin Brightening Serums to its range, which are once again based on an industry-first theory that focuses on skin’s innate alive-clearing function. This refers to the process of transporting melanocytes – the source of skin blemishes – to balance the supply of melanin levels. In blemished areas, movement of the melanocytes is at a standstill, leading to increased melanin production; stress and the aging process cause an increase in expression levels of the melanocyte.
Distinguished by a red dot on the product, the White Shot CXS Skin Brightening Serum and White Shot SXS Brightening Serum, which targets spots, enhance the skin’s natural ability to keep itself looking bright and beautiful. The active brightening ingredients, including new m-A Clear Extract, Rucinol and SC liquid, are wrapped in a capsule that helps them reach the melanocytes and deliver Pola’s original beauty ingredients to the far reaches of the skin.
By working in harmony with the body, the continually evolving White Shot line unlocks the potential beauty of women everywhere.
