As a foodie, you want to enjoy food without the trouble of upsetting your stomach. As you grow older, you become sensitive to certain foods, and can develop allergies. At some point in your life you will experience those troublesome problems of overeating, bad indigestion, trapped wind and heartburn. These symptoms can be triggered by what you eat, your lifestyle, even stress. That’s when Rennie comes to the rescue, they have the remedies for the above problems in the form of tablets in either mint or orange flavours.
This post is sponsored by Rennie invited me down for a special bloggers event for their #RennieHappyEating Event with the SORTEDFood boys. Catering and drinks were provided by Christabels. We were fed with vibrant colourful canapes using seasonal ingredients and bespoke cocktails. I adore the little sparkly glittery elderflower one.
Rennie has set up the mystery box challenge for SORTEDFood which you can watch over on youtube. Ben cooked two dishes for the night. The first being a buttermilk fried chicken and pandan pancakes. I liked SORTEDFood take on the pancakes using pandan juice. Pandan has that coconut nutty flavour and the crispy fried buttermilk chicken uses thighs parts being most moist.
The second dish the all-time Spanish, France, Philippines, Portugal favourite churros, along with a coffee chocolate-based sauce.
At the end of the evening, we had the chance to enter our own mystery box challenge. 10 lucky people, one being me received a cooler bag with a mystery ingredient inside. The challenge is to cook a dish with the mystery ingredient. You will just have to wait and see what I received and make on a future post.
