When it comes to marriage, things aren’t always black and white. Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore told Life & Style exclusively that, while she and her estranged husband, Marc Daly, did announce their divorce, there is still a lot of love between them — especially when it comes to their daughter, Brooklyn Doris. In fact, she even revealed that the duo has no idea what the future holds for their union, good or bad.
“I think he definitely misses his family. He misses me and there’s no loss of love between us. I just think things got hard with the distance and the baby,” the 48-year-old exclusively dished. “And I don’t know what the future holds, but you know, like I said, as long as you have two people, you have to have two, not just one. Two people who want to work it out … and are willing to do whatever it takes. Then you have a chance.”
As far as whether or not her husband, 49, is on the same page as the RHOA star with putting in the work, Kenya only had two words to say: “We’ll see.” Looks like we’re going to have to wait for whatever happens next with these two.
The dedicated mama also spoke about how she’s been doing since the couple announced their split officially in mid-September after just two years of marriage. “I’m better than I thought I would be,” Kenya explained. “I was just throwing myself into work and into Brooklyn. And she’s our priority. We both recognize the fact that even though we may be having issues, that she’s our number one priority, and we have to put her first.”
Naturally, having the focus on their 12-month-old “made it easy,” but the reality star revealed it’s “hard seeing him and not” being in that romantic space. The estranged couple reunited in NYC on Sunday, November 3, to celebrate their baby girl’s first birthday — and believe it or not, it was their first time reconnecting.
“It was the first time I have [seen him],” Kenya said. “But it was good to see him.” We’ll definitely take that as a positive sign.
