Dubai does not yet have its own Michelin Guide but adopts Michelin–starred chefs in restaurants such as Rhodes W1. The flagship restaurant at the Grosvenor House Hotel was headed by Gary Rhodes until his sudden and tragic death in 2019. The restaurant serves the astonishing fusion of Anglo-French cuisine that elevated Rhodes to such astronomical heights. There are also a number of amplified British classics; the prawn cocktail and chicken kiev is highly recommended, particularly for those who grew up in Britain during the 1990s. Many of the dishes are made with fresh, ingredients sourced from high-end suppliers in Europe. The menu is matched by an extensive collection of new, old and vintage wines.
