Rihanna‘s latest Savage X Fenty collection is here, and it looks a little like Jacquemus.
More specifically, Rih’s Fluff It Up PJ Crop Top undeniably recalls that Jacquemus cardigan, seen on everyone from Megan Fox to Kendall Jenner to Hailey Bieber.
Featuring mohair-like fabric, an ultra-cropped hemline, and a gold clasp reading “Savage X” in nameplate script, the top looks like a cross between Jacquemus’ La Maille Neve and La Maille Pralù, both shrunken sweaters with gilded logo closures.

I, like most of the population, have immense respect for Rihanna, the baddest gal of them all.
Still, I’m slightly confused by her Jacquemus-esque crop top. Surely, the Savage X Fenty design team was aware of the parallels between the piece and Simon Porte’s original creation?
And, a supporter of Jacquemus since the beginning, Rihanna herself must be familiar with the label’s seemingly ubiquitous gold-clasped top.

If anything, the lingerie giant’s take is a testament to the power of the tiny but mighty Jacquemus cardigan, catapulted into virality when Bella Hadid — the people’s street style princess — wore it in July.
As similar as the two tops are, Savage X Fenty didn’t exactly rip off an indie designer à la renown copycats Shein, FashionNova, and Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat.
Jacquemus is a hugely successful house, and Savage X Fenty is hardly taking credit for the label’s design.
Now, back to the real question: Rihanna, when are we getting new music???
