Maximilian Davis is undoubtedly one of the most exciting designers out there right now, and following his fashion week debut with Fashion East earlier this year, everyone including Rihanna wants a piece of the designer.
Through his eponymous label Maximilian, Davis is telling the story of Black liberation, as well as his family memories of trips to Trinidad, and his own heritage in his most recent collection. His impeccable storytelling and eye for design have resonated with people all over the world, resulting in stockists including Net-A-Porter, MATCHESFASHION, Browns, and SSENSE picking up the brand.

At only 25 years old, Maximilan Davis is one to watch. He’s the next big thing, and we’re sure of it.
Recently, Rihanna was spotted in the Harlequin Devoré halter from Maximilian’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection, and she also wore the designer for her recent DAZED editorial, styled by Ib Kamara.

It’s nothing new that Rihanna loves supporting young and up-and-coming designers. She famously hired Connor Ives whilst he was still in school, wore Pyer Moss early in Kerby-Jean Raymond‘s career, and sported Matthew Adams Dolan on the red carpet, and her recent affinity for Maximilian will undoubtedly result in more unforgettable looks. Dare we hope for a Savage X Fenty crossover?
Rihanna’s boyfriend (yes, that’s how he’s known to us from now on) A$AP Rocky has also been spotted wearing the label, which makes sense considering the two are always dressed for success.

Riri and Rocky are not the only celebrities who are fans; Zendaya and stylist Law Roach, Paloma Elsesser, and Bella Hadid, are also among the long list of supporters.
The real question is if you’re not on the Maximilian train then where the hell are you going?!
We can’t wait to see more from Maximilian Davis, and to revisit his debut SS22 collection from London Fashion Week, don’t miss our Fashion East piece featuring Davis, as well as other up-and-coming designers Chet Lo, and Jawara Alleyne.
