On New Year’s Eve I was waiting around for friends to tell me there plans for New Year Eve. I didn’t fancy staying indoors this year so when my friends text me to go out for a drink and watch the fireworks. I escaped and met up with M, walking around St. Paul’s we saw an endless queue to go to the Maidson to watch fireworks. Waiting around for J to arrive she missed the cut and we had to think of plan B.
Coq d’Argent spring to my mind for a outdoor rooftop bar enjoying the night views of London. As the friends I was were visiting and spending New Years at London for the very first time. Taking up the familiar elevator we arrived to the top, outdoors transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland, Christmas decorations, fairy lights and fur rugs to keep people warm.
The great thing for us Coq d’Argent was doing a special evening for New Year’s Eve. We got a table easily at the bar and the late sitting we were treated to a live jazz perform from Jazz A La Carte.
Many people were seated eating the special NYE menu, couples, friends all dressed to impress.
We ordered a bottle of Cuveé Jean-Paul Gascogne Blanc de Blancs 2014 and enjoyed a few cocktails the entertainment until 11:55 pm. Ushered out to the terrace we watched Coq d’Argent private fireworks display.
After the fireworks we stayed to finish the wine and ordered more cocktails, the staff were friendly and attentive. Coq d’argent accommodated us well and helped ring the New Year with a bang.
