As travelling is still not allowed and the spike in cases have only proofed that total recovery is unlikely to happen any time soon despite vaccines being rolled out. Therefore, we can only live vicariously through these brands who are bringing their launches to different countries.
Saint Laurent’s lifestyle conceptual store, Rive Droite is making a debut in Singapore for the first time. Bringing along exclusive home items straight from its store located at 213 Rue Saint-Honoré, Paris — which once stood Colette, another Parisian boutique and a mecca for shopping that many made sure to visit when visiting the City of Light. For this curated launch, you can expect to see crystal tumblers, Bang & Olufsen speakers, a skateboard and other lifestyle items made in collaboration with French brand Baccarat. Usually, the Rive Droite collection would only be available in stores located in Paris or Los Angeles, so it’s exhilarating to know that Singapore will be able to house some of the pieces.
The Maison’s creative director, Anthony Vaccarello has always been interested in exploring ways to expand the brand’s repertoire by including more artists for collaborations. Last year, the designer worked with Helmut Lang to create a series of artwork that was widely acclaimed for merging art and fashion, and they have also released a festive collection as well. We are looking forward to more launches will be released in this new year.
