Can you depart from and arrive to the same place in a day, yes you can. For those who followed my adventures might have noticed that due to weather conditions back in October we couldn’t depart from Koh Samui and thus had to stay another night. Since the best adventures happen unplanned, we decided to experience another hotel so we got into a taxi and headed to the Sala Samui Resort and Spa.
Sala Samui Resort and Spa is a luxury villa and suite property which is located on the Choeng Mon beach which is the northeast corner of Koh Samui, approximately 15 minutes from the airport. The resort harmoniously blends the Thai architecture together with modern facilities.
As we arrived at the resort we were welcomed at the Reception which is an open-plan Thai pavilion and as part of the Thai hospitality we received a flower bracelet as a welcome gift.
Once we completed our check-in we were escorted to our Deluxe Balcony room. These 47 square meter guest rooms are located on the second floor and feature a spacious balcony with an outdoor day bed overlooking the garden courtyard.
The best part of the room is the bathroom which can be accessed both from the balcony and from the bedroom, the only uncomfortable feature to my opinion was the swinging glass door which is closed off with a curtain if you would like your privacy but otherwise their bathtub and rain shower were heavenly.
Upon check in we were offered a set of creams and soaps to choose from, thus after having smelled the different types we asked the lady to bring us the one we liked best. Of course there was a pillow menu too.
As we had arrived to the resort in the evening and after having settled in the room it was past 6pm thus we were not allowed to access the pool or beach, so the evening swim that I was hoping for didn’t happen.
But thank go for happy hour! A Bloody Mary and a Club Sandwich was the perfect answer. The Beach Bar was the ideal location to enjoy my last evening in Koh Samui.
Next to the bar there is the Beach Restaurant which is located by the pool.
There was a live band playing music and the Thai ladies performed their traditional dances.
The best end to a really long and exhausting day was taking a bubble bath in the heavenly bathtub!
This long and adventurous day ends with a hot bubble bath in this awesome bathtub! Have a great day or night everyone, wherever you are ?? @salahospitality

We had an early morning flight to catch thus the hotel arranged a breakfast box for us in the morning. I wish I could spend longer time at the resort, well there is a great reason to come back. Have you been to Koh Samui and what were your impressions of the island?
