I was very fortunate today to be part of the Guinness world record and witness Salvatore Calabrese create the “Salvatore legacy” which cost a whooping £5,500 for a glass!
The cocktail is made with 1788 cognac, Kummel from 1770, orange curaçao from 1860 and Angostura Bitters from 1900’s.
Salvatore nerves was showing when he took 5 mins to open the first bottle for the mix and had to get his assistant to wipe the sweat from his face.
Within 30 mins the “salvatore legacy” was born! His personal drinks cabinet, it was phenomenal!
