What We’re Saying: This month Saucony delivers a new three-sneaker collection drawing heavily from the ’90s, the decade in which the brand’s seminal Shadow silhouette was introduced. Also featuring the Grid Azura 2000 and Jazz 81, the “Megabyte” pack, as it’s called, specifically pays homage to giant computer monitors of years past.
Both the Shadow 6000 and Grid Azura 2000 emerge in predominantly grey colorways to mimic the color of those bulky computer monitors from the ’90s. The grey uppers are complemented with blue detailing, while a microchip-inspired tongue design further points to the inspiration behind the collection. The Shadow 6000 is also decked out with printed insoles featuring a keyboard graphic, as the Grid Azura 2000 boasts a subtle grid pattern on the sides and at the toe.
Unlike the first two models, the Jazz 81 is showcased in a bright blue colorway. Accented with hits of grey and silver, the iconic sneaker also comes with a microchip-inspired tongue tag to tie in the design inspiration.
You can already find the Shadow 6000 and Grid Azura 2000 available on saucony.com for $120 and $130, respectively, as the Jazz 81 is due to release soon for $90.
