This past Wednesday the 25th of March which is the day that Greece celebrates its Independence Day, together with my fellow travel blogger Rebecca Hall of Life Beyond Borders blog, who is also member of Travel Bloggers Greece and Pamela Lytra of Google Loves Me, we were invited for a Scooterise experience, a tour of the Athenian Riviera.
We met with Nikos and Kostas who are the Founders of Scooterise in Kavouri outside the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso hotel where they showed us how the trikke works. What is a trikke? It is an eco-friendly, 3-wheeled electric vehicle that we rode around going to Kavouri and past the Vouliagmeni where we stopped to take a photo above the Vouliagmeni Marina. Unfortunate for us the weather was not at its usual sunny-self as Greece is quite popular for, but the rain didn’t stop us from enjoying this fun activity, riding in the rain, on the contrary I felt quite adventurous. The Athenian Riviera is a gorgeous place with some stunning views which will mesmerize anyone who is visiting for the first time. And given the right weather conditions it is guaranteed to steal your heart.
We did not manage to do the full tour as the rain was getting heavier, so instead we headed back to the meeting point and enjoyed a hot chocolate at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso hotel, while discussing our next trip. I am excited about doing an Athens tour very soon! Stay tuned for my adventures. Thank you Scooterise for the experience!
