Directional Aviation Capital company Sentient Jet has revealed that private jet travel and jet card sales are continuing to grow year over year, reaching levels not seen since before the peak of the financial crisis in 2008.
In response to this increase in travel and client demand, Sentient has expanded its industry-leading jet card offering by adding a 25-Hour Super-Mid Jet Card and a 25-Hour Heavy Jet Card.
“We started to see a sharp increase in jet card sales at the beginning of the year – a trend that continued throughout the summer,” said Andrew Collins, President of Sentient Jet.
“We sold about 11,000 hours from May through August, equating to roughly 450 jet cards, and saw a 10% increase in total hours flown over this period last year.”
Sentient Jet, recognized for inventing the jet card approach to flying privately in 1999, continues to innovate the jet card model, now expanding its menu of jet card options to include larger aircraft.
Sentient now offers four jet size options, allowing clients to purchase 25 hours of flight time on Super-Mid and Heavy aircraft – in addition to Light and Mid -in two age classes (Preferred and Select), starting at just $123,100.
The new jet card options offer more passenger room and longer flights, supporting this resurgence of private jet travel for both business and leisure.
Sentient Jet Card clients get a rare combination of industry leading service at a tremendous value, complete with a one-year lock on both hourly rates and fuel surcharges, with the added bonus of 15% discounts on hourly pricing for qualifying travel – making Sentient’s flexible jet card solution the most intelligent and sensible choice in private air travel.
“As expected, the strong sales have equated to an increase in flight time among our overall client base,” said Collins.
“This has been our biggest flying summer in five years and we’re seeing the market return to pre-financial crisis levels. This gives us confidence to make the investment in launching these two new Jet Card products and we expect private jet travel during this winter’s holiday season to also return to levels not seen in many years.”
Highlights of Sentient Jet’s 2013 summer results include:
· 11,000 hours sold between May and August
· The total hours sold during this period equates to nearly 450 twenty five hour jet cards
· A 10% increase in total hours flown over this period last year
· Popular summer destinations included Aspen, CO, Nantucket, MA, and Saranac Lake, NY
Collins concluded: “As customers continue to gravitate toward our flexible card model supported by an industry leading commitment to service and safety, we expect this trend to continue at record levels.
“Based on this summer’s strong results and our insight into the market for the remainder of 2013, we believe that private jet travel is back and expect a very significant holiday sales and flying season.”
