It’s a new year, new you for the Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador. She shared an Instagram mirror selfie on January 31, 2022, showing off her 14-pound weight loss, along with her trim waist and slim, toned legs while wearing tight athleisurewear. Fans were completely blown away by her fit figure, as the Bravo star revealed how she achieved it.
Shannon’s Clean Living
The reality star shared that she had “spent the last few months eating clean, exercising and taking @realforrealcuisine Mineral-Aid Nightly for detoxification,” referring to her Real For Real Cuisine Lemon-Aid Daily and Mineral-Aid Nightly. There’s nothing like losing weight and relying on your own brand of products to help along the journey!
In 2019, Shannon told Life and Style exclusively that most of her weight loss at the time came from what she ate. “It’s diet. I’d say 99 percent diet,” she revealed, adding, “But you can eat healthy and it still tastes good. I just want to be at a healthy balance.” She also explained that her boyfriend, supported her healthier lifestyle, sharing, “We go to the same trainer.”
,Shannon’s Hormones are Balanced
The reality star, who turns 58 in March 2022, revealed that she was “down 14 pounds with just a little more to go!” not only due to diet and exercise, but because she “finally balanced my hormones!” Unfortunately, Shannon didn’t share her secret, but she did let fans know who her doctor was that helped her achieve the goal. “How did you balance your hormones? Which doctor and what remedy did you do? Please help!” one fan wrote in the comments, and Shannon responded, “I see Dr. Bar in Newport Beach!”
Unfortunately, Shannon didn’t elaborate further on what process or therapy she used, but Dr. Iman Bar’s website says that the medical professional “is passionate in helping men and women address the root cause of their symptoms so they can live an optimized life, offering a variety of modalities such as gut healing, hormone replacement, toxicities, allergies, or nutrient deficiencies.”
Shannon Doesn’t Want to Get Too Slim
When one fan commented, “Season 1 Shannon is that you??” referring to her 2014 debut on RHOC, she let the follower know that she has no plans to get that slender again. “No, not going to go that low. I was a little gaunt then!” she replied about how she appeared during her first season.
Shannon First Gained Weight After Her Fight With Vicki Gunvalson.
Shannon was never overweight, but she admitted exclusively to Life & Style in 2017 that she “put on 40 pounds in eight months” after she ended her friendship with then-costar Vicki Gunvalson. She managed to take off some of the pounds at the time thanks to using 310 Shakes as a “plant based and gluten, dairy, and soy free” option when she didn’t “have time to sit down for a meal.” Shannon also started working with nutritionist-to-the-stars and trainer Dr. Tim Ramirez, getting in a minimum of 30 minutes per day of exercise.
