Congratulations are in order for Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick! The Bachelor Nation couple revealed they’re engaged on May 11.
Jason, 31, popped the question to his bride-to-be, 35, in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 10. “It was everything I could have asked for,” Kaitlyn told Entertainment Tonight about his romantic proposal. “The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful. We’ve never locked eyes like that in our lives. We were holding hands, so intense, and I was listening to his every word, but still blacked out.”
The adorable pair have been thinking about their future special day for awhile. Kaitlyn exclusively told Life & Style in October that Jason “wants a big wedding.” She added, “I wouldn’t even mind at this point going to a courthouse and just having family over, but Jason wants a big party.” As for the location of their upcoming nuptials, the dancer said her fiancé has his sights on marrying in his hometown of Buffalo, New York.
Kaitlyn is ready to have kids with Jason sooner than later. “It’s game on. I’m ready for babies,” she gushed. “When it comes to marriage — with everything going on in 2020 — I don’t know because Jason wants to have a big wedding. So, we’ll have to wait until the pandemic is over.”
While fans were thrilled about the exciting news, they weren’t exactly surprised. The couple hasn’t been scared to take big steps in their relationship since confirming the romance in January 2019. In May of that year, Kaitlyn revealed on her “Off The Vine” podcast that she and Jason were moving to Nashville, Tennessee together, and adopted their Golden Retriever, Ramen Noodle Vino Bristick, just one month later in June. They got a second pup named Pinot shortly after.
After Kaitlyn joined Dancing With the Stars‘ season 29 cast in September, she told E! News she was planning on making the show her last appearance on reality TV in favor of starting a family with her future hubby. “I’m telling you, I’m going into Dancing With The Stars being like ‘OK, this is my last hurrah,’ because I’m ready to have babies,” she told the outlet, noting the physical preparation she did for the series would be beneficial in a pregnancy. “I always said, like, when I’m getting to that point, you know like, when I’m a year out from having a family or two years, I really want to feel like I’m in the best shape of my life, to feel strong and to go into a healthy pregnancy.”
Jason and Kaitlyn seem like a perfect match, especially considering how supportive the hunk is of the “If I’m Being Honest” singer. When she dropped her first single on May 14, 2020, he couldn’t help gushing over her talent and drive. “It’s a testament to her ability to conquer her fears of failure and pursue uncharted territory with a refreshing perspective,” he told Life & Style exclusively. We can’t wait to see all of the things they can conquer together now that they’re engaged!
