Get a jump on holiday shopping while supporting local businesses and community programs at the Junior League of the Palm Beaches‘ sixth annual Deck the Palms Holiday Market. Held on Saturday, November 21 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Palm Beach County Convention Center, the annual bazaar brings together more than 120 local and international artisans, clothiers, jewelers, gifteries, culinary vendors, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations for a one-stop shopping opportunity with decidedly Palm Beach flair. As one of the largest holiday markets in the area, there will literally be thousands of goods from the bazaar’s vendors for selective shoppers to persue. So whether you’re searching for that perfect hostess gift for season or a personalized piece of jewelry, there is quite possibly something for everyone. (For a list of participating vendors to date, click here).
To make the shopping experience even more enjoyable, there will be bites and refreshments available at a cash bar, holiday entertainment throughout the day, and three silent auctions offering shoppers a chance to win some amazing prizes. To keep the kids entertained, the kids area will feature activities from the Macaroni Kids and Resource Depot, as well as a visit by Santa and his elves from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. To keep the menfolk occupied—because they can be much worse than children when it comes to shopping—there will be a VIP Man Cave complete with craft beers and cocktails, bites from PDQ, and college football on the TVs. For the ladies, VIP access will not only include the sips and bites, but also complimentary facials and hair blowouts.
But probably the best aspect of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches’ Deck the Palms Holiday Market is that all proceeds from the market support JLPB’s mission and establish programming to benefit children and young adults in the foster care system in Palm Beach County. This truly is shopping for a purpose.
- Deck the Palms will take place Saturday, November 21 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. General admission is free, $20 for VIP access. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit shopdeckthepalms.com.
