Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte
Imagine going to a restaurant where you can only order one thing and it was a fixed set menu, would you walk back out or be curious why it can be? That’s what you exactly get at Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte. With such a simple dish, Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte concentrates on delivering quality products. Hailing from Porte-Maillot Paris, the aim is to please with their simple menu. My friend’s dad was a chef at the Paris branch. I was mesmerized by the cabinet display of irresistible plate licking good desserts, as soon as I waltz in.
Steaks only!
What does Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte Offer? Well you a serving of green salad, and steak frites for a steal of £23.
French style
We had a waitress dressed in French maid outfits serving us, their makeup embodies Parisian beauty, fresh face make up with a pop of red bold lips.
I loved her adorable personality and she looked like a dead ringer for Peneolpe Cruz. You order your steak how you want it, even purple if you feel daring.
To start
The perfect entrée was the crunchy crisp green salad dressed with mustard vinaigrette, drizzled with walnuts.
The best thing with L’Entrecôte is the steak is served twice, three-quarters upon the first serving then the rest to be kept warm later.
The mains
The slice of beef came blushed pinkish-red, sliced into thin pieces, covered in a thick mellow neutral special sauce. Accompanied with a serving pencil thin cut frites. The mature aged beef so chin dripping juicy, soft and tender was easy to chew, best eaten slowly to truly appreciate the quality of the meat.
The frites came golden brown, slightly cold and salty, suited the beef well.
Dessert
After the second serving of steak, we couldn’t say no to desserts. Friends from Twitter recommended Les Profiteroles au chocolat. We ordered a bunch to share amongst us. Gobbled up in no time. The sorbet had sharp sourness from the lemon and raspberry flavours, icy cold ready to be melted straight to the mouth.
I highly recommend Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte, another favorite steakhouse on the list for decent meats in London. The service was great with the friendly staff, the perfect location for a quick low fuss lunch/dinner, tremendously great value for quality and money.
