Singapore Airlines, one of world’s largest passenger Asian carriers has just spent USD850 million (S$1.15 billion) to revamp all of its 19 airbus A380s.
After a full overhaul to the cabins, including the 14 aircrafts in need of a retrofit (currently in service), Singapore Airline is proud to unveil today the new bedroom suites and economy class seats.
Each suite is equipped with a leather swivel chair, vanity counter, including a 32-inch HD monitor, and luxury bedding with duvet covers designed by French luxury brand Lalique.
With all things designed by the haute brand, passengers can also refresh themselves with toiletries, perfumes and scented candles as well as sip wine from Lalique’s crystal glass and Champagne flute.
Taking visual cues from Qatar Airways, Middle Eastern airliner, the two centre passenger seats have been configured so that the adjoining seats can form double beds.
The complete roll-out is expected for 2020.
Singapore airbus A380s currently serve Auckland, Beijing, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Delhi, New York, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney and Zurich.
