Emerging from warm orange fires, the models of the show, robed in Hermès’ latest, walked down the cat-walk of cobbled stones like heroes appearing to save the world with their killer looks and phenomenal fashion sense. The Hermès 2018 autumn-winter men’s fashion show was every bit the sight for sore eyes; and if winter was making you feel cold at any point, it’s safe to say your temperature would have been turned right back up.
The silhouettes of the 2018 winter show feature bright overtones of marine, royal blue, hazelnut, oxidized green, raspberry, cobalt, chartreuse, bubble gum pink that only serve to enhance cold silhouettes.
You’ll notice there are many wrap-around garments too, using combed mohair, compact double wool, curly sheepskin and double-breasted coats. Also, the famous two-tone quilted toilbright which first appeared in the summer 2018 collection has taken a winter turn by marrying both a hooded blouson and a straight buttoned blouson.
The men were even donning bags and making the man-bag look really, really work. A flagship design of the autumn-winter 2018 season, “Endless Road” appears in leather patchworks on the Haut à courroiesbag, in cobalt and coal cashmere on turtlenecks, and even on a sweatshirt with zipped collar in cashmere hazelnut and suede goatskin. Yum.
