Traveling for the holidays is fun … and stressful! If you aren’t careful, it can wreak havoc on your skin. So, here are five skin essentials to carry with you when traveling this winter season.
A bottle of oil:
Have tired skin and want to go the natural route heading into 2020? Get a bottle of Dilo Oil. It contains omega-3, -6 and -9! A thin coat each morning before makeup is a great way to help enhance your skin’s moisture barrier before you embark on a stressful day of travel.
Disinfecting wipes:
I always travel with disinfecting wipes. As soon as I find my seat on a plane, I wipe down the entire area with the wipes. Why? People have been snotting, vomiting and farting all over the area where you’ll soon be lounging on. They slip into any carry-on bag and are an absolute must this holiday season! I recommend Lysol or Clorox wipes to prevent gifting your entire family the flu.
A face mask:
Long flight? Who cares what your seat neighbors think! Let’s fully acknowledge that winter travel is stressful and stress can be a huge step back in your quest for skin fitness. So, relax, unwind and pamper your face with an in-flight Jetsetter Mask. They are specifically designed for a fast-paced, hectic lifestyle and after just five minutes, your skin will be instantly hydrated, soothed and refreshed!
Body cream:
Nothing helps you unwind from winter travel like a warm bath (well, OK, maybe wine does, too, but you get the point). While it’s not cheap, I adore this Almond Coconut Milk Soufflé and encourage you to lather a generous coat all over the body after soaking. Its hydrolyzed rice proteins make it a true indulgence, so apply it daily to get baby-soft skin.
Lip repair:
Lastly, you don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a great product. I highly recommend Aquaphor for lip protection and repair. Not only will it help heal chapped, dry lips, it will also prevent future problems. Moreover, glossy, hydrated lips look great.
That’s this dermatologist’s list of five winter essentials to help you through the holidays. Enjoy!
