Epitomizing French art de vivre, Hôtel de Crillon, a Rosewood Hotel is an iconic destination in the heart of Paris. The hotel was first built in 1758 and has been conserved and masterfully restored so today’s modern traveler can experience French history. It has a Neoclassical exterior designed by architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel (who was commissioned by King Louis XV) and has endured through two French kings, the French Revolution and centuries of history.
The ideal place to rest your head, the hotel’s rooms offer elegant French accommodations and have world-class dining and a wonderful spa underneath its centuries-old roof. Rosewood Hotels excel in wellness, and Sense, a Rosewood Spa at Hôtel de Crillon is no different. While you may not be traveling anytime soon, add this iconic destination to your bucket list
The spa recently underwent a partial renovation last summer to include a brand-new sauna, salt wall, hammam steam room and experience showers. There is a pool, with plenty of natural light; hair salon by David Lucas; three treatment rooms; and two beauty treatment areas. The spa offers everything from soothing head and foot massages to custom massage treatments and facials (including results-driven procedures, like a non-invasive face lift, peels and bespoke treatments). Here you can enjoy exclusive, world-class treatments inspired by France’s rich history of beauty. The spa recently partnered with Sisley, and also uses products from EviDenS de Beauté and Maison Caulières that transform your skin and complexion.

While we are relegated to our homes for the foreseeable future, spa director Marlène Belvalette has created a natural, at-home Glow Face Mask for you to get exceptional results using ingredients found in your refrigerator.
To prepare the Glow Face Mask, use 2 tsp of honey, 2 tsp coconut oil, 2 drops of lemon essential oil and 2 drops of carrot essential oil. Mix for three minutes and apply on the face, avoiding the eye contour. Once applied, put cucumber slices on your eyes and keep the face mask on for 15 minutes. Rinse twice to ensure all product is off. Lemon is used for purifying; carrot gives a glowing effect (and is good for anti-spots); coconut oil rejuvenates and heals; and honey is soothing, healing and moisturizing.
Belvalette’s pro tip is to wash your face twice in the morning, apply a floral water mist and moisturize with SPF-infused day cream. At night, use a cleansing foam in a circular motion and rinse off, followed by an eye contour cream, moisturizing lip balm and night cream. She also recommends sleeping with a night mask or bathe in your favorite bath oil. To keep your body hydrated, she suggests making a scrub at home with olive oil or sweet almond oil mixed with powdered sugar, then scrubbing in the shower.
