Airbnb is offering ski fans the chance to stay in a luxury cable car 2,700m above the ground in Courchevel – its highest ever European listing.
As part of its latest competition, Airbnb will transform a Saulire cable car at Courchevel ski resort in France into a luxury cocoon, complete with a bed and a living room, for one winner and three guests for one night.
Suspended over the Combe de Saulire, the guests will be served a typical savoyard dinner of cheese and pork fondue.
Since the cable car will be in the station at the top of the mountain all night, the guests will be able to use the washroom in the station!
In the morning, the winners will have the privilege of laying down the first tracks over an untouched snow run.
To enter, users must visit Courchevel’s listing on Airbnb and tell the host why they would like to spend the night in the Saulire cable car.
The Courchevel cable car is the latest addition to Airbnb’s ‘A Night At’ series, offering overnight accommodation in money-can’t-buy venues around the world, including Gallery Lafayette in Paris.
The contest is open to families or groups of friends, four people maximum. The winner will be announced on 6 March.
