After being introduced to the world of private aviation, Steffany Kisling recognized the need for high-class hospitality within the industry. As a passionate entrepreneur, Kisling saw an opportunity to enhance the luxury travel experience through the experiences of her own.
Kisling’s desire to start a business in the field of private jet travel drove her to become a cabin attendant. There, she spent three years researching and learning first-hand the ins and outs of private aviation.
In 2010, Kisling launched SkyAngels, a cabin attendant staffing company whose expertly trained cabin crew have since seen prominent business leaders and celebrities alike step aboard as repeat guests.
With the success of SkyAngels, Kisling further grew the company to incorporate a highly selective online training platform and facility for pilots, cabin attendants and aspiring crew. Now called SKYacademy, this facet of SkyAngels includes courses in General Emergency, G550, and In-flight Services & Hospitality Training. Additionally, the company provides a customizable online training platform for flight operators to effectively and efficiently train their flight crew while reducing the costs associated with in-house training.
Along with being extensively trained in standard safety and security procedures, the SkyAngels crew also includes cabin attendants trained in onboard spa services, chefs, nannies and travel assistants. SkyAngels intuitively perform extra tasks such as pre-flight meal pickups from The Ivy in Los Angeles, Joe’s Stone Crab in Miami Beach and Cipriani in New York. The team goes above and beyond for child travelers as well. Kisling recalls one particular flight where the plane’s interior was transformed into a Disney theme, right down to the tiaras. Upon arriving at the destination, SkyAngels will take kids on outings varying from horse and carriage rides to snorkelling.
The demand for SkyAngels growing, Kisling says she was inspired to find a way for travelers and flight operators to quickly request quality cabin crew for their upcoming flights. SkyAngels SKYcrew network consists of both cabin attendants and pilots that are all either certified SkyAngels or have come highly recommended by trusted sources. To further ensure their quality and superiority, all members go through a vetting process before being approved to join SkyAngels SKYcrew network.
As SkyAngels has evolved, Kisling says one thing has remained constant: “Our focus has always been and will continue to be on making private jet travel more delightful for those who appreciate the highest level of customer service.”
