During the month of March, local bartenders will be stirring up creative cocktails for a good cause: ending child hunger. As a part of “The Shake Up” cocktail competition, participating restaurants will offer specific libations with a portion of the sale ($1 to $2) going to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry. This friendly competition preludes the annual Taste of the Nation event, which also raises funds for No Kid Hungry, on April 4 at The Kravis Center for Performing Arts. The winners, the two restaurants that raise the most funds by selling the most drinks, will be invited to serve a specialty cocktail at the main event.
This year’s participating establishments include: Aaron’s Table, Avocado Grill, Brick & Barrel, Brulé Bistro, Cafe Centro, Dada, Eau Palm Beach, Florie’s at the Four Seasons Palm Beach, Grandview Public Market, Grato, Galley, Lynora’s, Mazie’s, the Parched Pig, PB Catch, Pistache, Salute Market, The Cooper, and The Regional
Visit these restaurants to show your support, and “vote” by ordering your favorite drinks. The two winners of “The Shake Up” will be announced on April 1 and will show off their mixology skills at the main event, where guests can help raise additional funds as they sample delicious bites, desserts, wine, beer, cocktails, and coffee from the area’s best chefs, bakers, sommeliers, and producers.
