On January 30, Susan G. Komen South Florida will host the twenty-fifth annual Race for the Cure in downtown West Palm Beach. Part of the largest, most successful education and fundraising events for breast cancer ever created—worldwide—the 5K race brings the community together to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research and treatment, as well as to remember the lives lost, honor survivors, and help give encouragement to those currently battling breast cancer.

2016’s goal is to raise $1 million, which will help fund breast cancer health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs within the community, as well as helping fund breast cancer research on a national level (up to 75 percent of the funds raised stays within the community, with the remaining going to Komen’s national research and grant programs).
