Suzanne Boyd | anchor, CBS12 News
Suzanne Boyd anchors the CBS12 News‘ morning, noon, and 3 p.m. broadcasts.
Boyd grew up in a farming family in Monticello, a town just outside Tallahassee that’s so small it has no traffic lights, no movie theater, and only one major grocery store. After leaving high school, where Boyd graduated with only 19 other students, she decided to head off to Gainesville and the University of Florida. She earned her bachelor of science degree in broadcast journalism in 1995, then got her first TV reporting job at SNN6 in Sarasota.
Boyd had always wanted to live in South Florida and finally arrived here in 1998, when she landed a reporting gig at CBS12. She has won three Associated Press awards for her reporting and helped launch the CBS12 I-Team.
A faithful Gators football fan, Boyd enjoys crossword puzzles and running and lives with her two children in Delray Beach.
