Fendi Is Gearing Up For The Les Journées Particulières 2018 In Rome

The Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Vatican -- Rome is not short of amazing sights to see and now (or to be exact, for the fourth time) you can add the Les Journées Particulières by LVMH to the list. 56 Maisons of the group from will take part in different locations around the world and this year, Fendi has something intriguing in store, bringing our attention to the exhibition in Rome where the Maison will showcase everything from ready-to-wear to watches -- and then some.

Artisans of the Fur Atelier on the steps of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana[/caption]
The exhibition is held at the very headquarters of Fendi, Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. In 2015, the Maison called the palazzo its new home, and a home at that as part of the Rationalist 1940’s architecture known as the “Square Colosseum”. The palazzo itself is a sight to behold: soaring arches and a travertine facade that houses the work of Fendi craftsmanship. And from the 12th to the 14th of October, it's Disneyland for the Fendi-fanatic fashion crowd.

A special initiative this year is the wall dedicated to graffiti art. Master artisans of the Fur Atelier will create a one-of-a-kind fur-graffiti inspired inlayed tablet using discarded material. Think you've got the hand for art? Go for it. Visitors too, are able to actively participate by drawing their own graffiti on the wall. The folks at Fendi even encourage you to selfie with it.

Speaking of fur, there's a fur craftsmanship exhibition which brings together Fendi artisans from the Fur Ateliers of Rome, Florence Porto San Giorgio, Forlì and Neuchâtel. It's here that they will create on site unique handmade creations.
This exhibition will be opened to the public (with free access and no reservations required) from the 12th of October to the 4th of November, between 10am to 8pm. More details on Les Journées Particulières can be found on LVMH's website.
