Chopard’s special edition Happy Sport honours The Hour Glass

Prior to 1993, the thought of combining steel and diamonds was unheard of — until Chopard created Happy Sport. The timepiece became a revolution of the watch world, epitomising freedom and joie de vivre with free-moving, swirling diamonds encased beneath the glass. The iconic model has evolved over time, crafted in assorted dials and straps of different finishes, but still retaining a distinctly recognisable appearance.

Like the Happy Sport, the relationship between Chopard and luxury watch retailer The Hour Glass has also stood the test of time. In honour of the latter's 40th anniversary, Chopard announced the launch of a limited edition Happy Sport. The 36mm self-winding watch features five 18K rose gold charms — a laughing sun, a diamond-set moon, and three diamond-set stars — dancing and catching the light under a sapphire glass. A guilloche mother-of-pearl dial elegantly juxtaposes the rose gold Roman numerals, while a red glossy alligator strap leaves a lasting impression of powerful femininity.
The special edition Happy Sport watch be available for reservation via this here.
