Gigi and Zayn started dating in 2015 after Yolanda Hadid‘s daughter split with pop singer Joe Jonas. They famously broke up in March 2018 but were back together by that summer. Just one month after the former One Direction heartthrob released his second album, Icarus Falls, in December 2018, he and the model called it quits for the second time. A year later in January 2020, they reconciled their romance and have been going strong ever since.
In April 2020, Life & Style confirmed the A-list couple were expecting their first child. Five months later, the “From Dusk Til Dawn” revealed the birth of the couple’s baby girl via Instagram and Twitter despite being known for keeping private.
“Our baby girl is here, healthy [and] beautiful,” Zayn wrote on social media at the time. “To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine [and] thankful for the life we will have together.”
“Gigi and Zayn were so excited for this baby, and now that she’s finally here, it’s been amazing,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style in October 2020, noting the longtime loves’ first month as parents was “better than they could’ve imagined.”
The new mother and father have yet to reveal their firstborn child’s moniker, but they have “picked a very special name,” according to the source. However, they “aren’t in a rush to announce it” and are “holding onto as much privacy as they can” in the first year of their baby’s life.
