Teva’s New Amphibious Hiking Shoe Is a Blast From the Past

Teva is bringing back a model from the archives. It isn’t a sandal in the traditional sense, though, of which the brand is best known for — instead, the Revive 94 Mid is a hiking shoe that’s just as at home in the water as it is on land.

The new silhouette is a reimagining of Teva’s Sandal Hiker that originally released in — you guessed it — 1994. Constructed from recycled materials, the Revive 94 Mid boasts new technology from the brand, making use of LWG-certified waterproof leather on the upper. The distinctive build of the shoe allows water to easily escape, making it amphibious, as we alluded to before. The insole then incorporates MAX-COMF tooling, which essentially serves as memory foam for the feet, leaving you comfortable during all-day excursions. The molded midsole is made of EVA and also features a nylon shank to enhance support, while a spider rubber outsole provides superior traction for exploration. It wouldn’t be a proper Teva without those signature straps, of which can be found on the Revive 94 Mid, as they are adjustable so you can truly dial in the proper fit.

The first release from Teva’s Revive Collection, the Revive 94 Mid is said to be launching on August 2, per Mastered. Retail is reportedly $160.
